Brewing the Perfect Cup: Brewing Methods

• Aeropress: Use a fine to medium grind. Brew with 200°F water for 1-2 minutes. Press gently for a smooth, rich taste.
• Moka Pot: Use a medium-fine grind. Fill the bottom chamber with water, add coffee to the filter basket, and brew over medium heat until extraction is complete.
• Pour Over: Use a medium-fine grind. Slowly pour 200°F water in a circular motion over the coffee grounds for a balanced extraction.
• K-Cups/Pods: Use pre-ground coffee or grind to a medium-coarse consistency. Ensure the pod is properly placed and brew as directed by the machine.
• Percolator: Use a coarse grind. Fill the bottom chamber with water, place coffee in the upper basket, and heat gently for a rich, bold flavor.
• Vietnamese Coffee Maker: Use a medium-coarse grind. Add coffee to the filter, pour hot water slowly, and let it drip into the cup for a strong, smooth brew.
• French Press: Use a coarse grind. Steep coffee in hot water (200°F) for 4 minutes before pressing the plunger down.
• Cold Brew: Use a coarse grind. Steep coffee in cold water for 12-24 hours before straining for a smooth, low-acid drink.
• Turkish Coffee: Use an extra-fine grind. Brew coffee in a small pot (cezve) with sugar and water, bringing it to a foamy boil before serving unfiltered.
• Siphon: Use a medium grind. Heat water in the lower chamber, allow vacuum pressure to brew coffee, then let it filter back down for a smooth, aromatic cup.
• Drip Coffee Maker: Use a medium grind. Add the right coffee-to-water ratio, and ensure the filter and reservoir are clean for the best taste.

TEA

Brewing loose leaf tea is a beautiful ritual—and it’s easier than you think. With just a few steps, you’ll unlock rich flavor, soothing aroma, and a truly premium tea experience. Here’s how to brew your perfect cup:

1. Measure Your Tea

Use about 2.5 to 3 grams of loose leaf tea per 12 oz of water. This is roughly 1 to 1.5 teaspoons, depending on the size of the leaves. For bolder flavor, slightly increase the amount.

2. Choose the Right Water Temperature

Different teas love different heat levels.

• Black teas : 195–212°F

• Green teas (like Jasmine): 170–185°F

• Herbal & rooibos blends: 200–212°F

• White & oolong teas: 180–200°F

If you don’t have a thermometer, let boiling water sit for 1–2 minutes before pouring over more delicate teas.

3. Steep with Intention

Let your tea steep for 5 to 10 minutes, depending on the type and your taste preference. Shorter times bring out softer, lighter notes, while longer steeping will intensify the body and flavor.

4. Strain & Savor

Use a quality tea infuser or strainer to keep leaves out of your cup. Then just pour, inhale the aroma, and enjoy the richness of a perfectly steeped tea.

For the best flavor:

Store coffee in an airtight, opaque container away from light, heat, and moisture.

• Whole beans stay fresh for 2-4 weeks when stored properly.
• Ground coffee should be used within 2 weeks for peak flavor.
• If buying in bulk, divide into smaller portions to prevent frequent exposure to air and maintain freshness.

Freezing Instructions

If long-term storage is needed, coffee beans can be frozen, but proper precautions must be taken:

• Use an airtight, opaque container or vacuum-sealed bag to prevent moisture exposure.
• Portion beans before freezing to avoid repeated thawing and refreezing.
• Allow beans to come to room temperature before grinding to prevent condensation.
• Freeze only once for best quality.
